Why I Eat Rye Bread Everyday Now

The word “anti-aging” has a lot of good meanings behind it, which includes, weight loss, antioxidation, diseases prevention, blood sugar balance, and more.

Rye bread has all these wonderful properties. According to the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, May 2007 issue, a test was done for two groups of pre-diabetes patients. Both were given the same amount of calories, fat, protein, carbohydrate, and fiber. The only difference is the kind of carbohydrate they got.

One group got wheat, oats, and potatoes, and the other group got rye as the main carb. After 12 weeks, the researchers found that the former group had 62 bad genes turned on, and these bad genes would lead to heart diseases, cancer, diabetes, obesity, Alzheimer’s disease, and other health issues in general. The latter group, however, had 71 positive genes activated, which would bring blood sugar balance, diseases reversal, higher metabolism, anti-inflammation, and so on.

Getting healthy can be much easier if we simply replace the wrong foods with the right foods.

This is exactly what I just started to do. I started eating rye bread everyday. I make it delicious by steaming it to make it soft, and then I put butter and organic honey on it. It tastes very good. The density and weight of rye are heavier than white or wheat bread, because it is more nutritious.

It took me quite a while to get it started, because I didn’t know where to find rye bread. Eventually, I asked a staff in a nearby superstore, and the staff quickly helped me find it. It has always been there! A place that is very close to my house. Then I thought it would be expensive, but turned out it only cost me $2.49 for a big loaf (454g).

From learning about the wonderful properties of rye, to getting through all the inner objections to finally intergrate it into my daily meals, it took quite a while, even though it was so simple to do. To become healthy doesn’t have to be complicated, but it always get complicated, because it is actually a spiritual warfare.

Since I started eating rye bread, I made stools at least twice a day! It’s good thing. I used to do once a day on average. I guess the watermelon helps too. Anyhow, I am getting more fiber from rye bread than from other kind of toasts.
