Faith Healing Training And Street Evangelism

I have been doing some experiments with faith.

After listening to the teaching of Curry Blake, I was convinced every believer should have the authority to heal and perform miracles if he has faith, so I decided to train up my own faith.

I brought a friend along and we went to the malls to preach and pray for the sick. Today, we finally went to the hospital and prayed for those who were visiting their loved ones. We got a very responsive prospect, out of the 6 couples/individuals that we have talked to, and he was a Christian too. His wife had an emergency with a heart condition. We prayed for instant healing for his wife and he shared with us that he also has been doing street ministry. I offered to go with him to do some outreach next week. It was exciting. We will go to downtown and talk to homeless people, and give them free pizza. I will see what I can learn.

We don’t know what happen to his wife yet, because we left before he showed up again to update us about the situation. I will contact him to make sure that his wife is in good shape. We shall continue to fight until all symptoms and diseases leave her body.

In the last few months, we have been doing things like ordering the weather to change, rebuking our sicknesses, blessing our own finance, and many other creative intercessory prayers. We have been praying for governments, churches, neighborhood, future colleagues, future spouses, and etc.

I actually announced the whole things on YouTube. See my video.

Where Are The Miracles?

I am sure miracles will come but it takes some momentums.

We have the scriptural supports and convictions for faith healing. Every week we have a bible study to remind ourselves of the truth about faith healing, and we would feel like there is no reason why we can’t perform a miracle and then there come the Sundays, when we would go to the Mall and preach, and then realize that our faith is still not strong enough—We would dance around, talk among ourselves, wait and hesitate, and talk subtly when a handicap person came by. Many times, we walked past handicap people and did not offer to pray for their totally healing. On rare occasions, when we managed to talk to a family with a handicap member, we told them we would “pray” for the sick person, but didn’t mention anything close to “do you want to get healed now?”, like what Jesus and the Apostles did.

This indicated the level of our faith!

It was like we had the blueprint of a mansion, but to build the mansion it takes time. We have the spiritual knowledge of how to heal the sick, but to actually carry it out we see a lot of mistakes and timidities in ourselves. Faith healing is supposed to be simple, but it takes time as we are learning to simpify ourselves and not finding excuses. Often time we hear excuses about why not to pray for healing and miracles, such as “we shouldn’t test the Lord”, “we need to find out what God’s will is”, “God can heal through the doctors”, “Sickness can be a disguised blessing”, or “Maybe God wants to test his faith”.

We did talk to strangers about the Gospel, but that was not as heavy duty as offering to heal someone. Praying for the sick isn’t really that intimidating, but it does take a lot of deep breath and mental preparation before we feel ready to step out and offer to pray. I knew I shall say, “do you want to be healed?”, but the words were so heavy. I can imagine myself saying that, but it does take some mental effort.

What’s funny is that, the cycle seems to repeat. During the Bible study on weeday, we would demand to know why there isn’t any miracle yet, and on Sunday we would see the harsh truth and learn why, because we have little faith!

Some Interesting Insights

You always learn a lot when you tackles challenges that test your limit. It’s exciting and rewarding to take on new challenges. Here are what I have learned through the faith healing outreach.

Pretty Girls

I found pretty girls to be intimidating. It took much more efforts for me to think about approaching them. One on hand I felt the need to examine my motive, but on the other hand I felt guilty for not being bold enough to approach them just because they were young and pretty. What if this was their last chance to hear the Gospel?

Of course I have also been comtemplating the possibility of finding a potential marriage partner through this ministry. Any girl that believe and repent would fulfil the basic requirement. It is not an easy requirement. Someone who truly believe and repent is one in a thousand. Many so-called Christians think they are going to heaven, but they seldom repent once in months, or years. If you are not repenting, then you are not going to heaven.

If a girl believes in Christ and repents, and she is young and pretty, then what else could I ask?

What if you are a girl, and this strategy won’t work out for you? We know that girls generally don’t go out and preach the Gospel to strangers. Even if they do, the converted males will not be spiritual leaders materials anytime soon anyway. However, it is easy to spot a godly man if there is one in your social network. Be a godly woman yourself and you will likely end up with the Mr Right. Have faith in God and He will see to it. See my article Before You Meet Prince Charming.

Future Spiritual Family Members

The harvest is ready, but the workers are few (Luke 10:2). Many people are ready to become part of God’s family if we just offer them the Gospel. The Bible prophesies that in the End time many will be purified (Daniel 12:10).

However, if we don’t preach, then who will believe? (Romans 10:14) If we do what we must, we will have our rewards in heaven.

Mark 10:29-30

29And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s,

30But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

Imagine the thrills and joys to be surrounded by people you saved through ministry. To build the True Biblical Church requires a lot of faith and sacrifice, but at the end your rewards are people. They will stay with you in this life and for eternity. Imagine the eternal thrills and joys to be around with your loved ones—I am not talking about the earthly relatives—the spiritual children that you reproduce or help to nourish through ministry.

Victims

There are a lot of abused, handicapped, undervalued, ill, victimized, and unfortunate people out there. They have a world of hurts. It only takes the true church to give them love and shelters before they will be willing to accept Jesus Christ. Religions hurt people and keep them in bondage, but truth will set them free. We need to restore the early churches, because the early churches followed the truth. It is easy to set up a biblical, early-church-like church. We need to stop trying to bring people to the organized church of our own liking, but to give them the biblical church that God originally designed.

There are many people who live in a improvished, cursed, and abusive environment. There are no way out unless God and His people intervene. All it takes is to give them home churches they can live in, just like how our spiritual fathers did it in Acts.

Acts 2:42-47

42And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.43And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.44And all that believed were together, and had all things common;45And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.46And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple (Sai Kit: they met there to reach out to the people; they didn’t fellowship in the temple because it was owned by religious authorities who persecuted them and nailed Jesus on the cross), and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,47Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

See how easy it is for us to help the poor and unfortunate? All it takes is to go back to the Bible, develop faith that can work wonders and healings, share our financial resources, and build a community.

The church doesn’t need a lot of fancy strategies to reach people. There are enough people out there ready for the Gospel, if we give them the FULL Gospel. We can’t cut corners and expect to create the same results the first century churches had.

To fuel this “Restore the Biblical Church” movement, I need your donation and help.

Cult

If people get into cult or occult and allow the religious leaders to manipulate them and abuse them, what make us think that they are not going to accept Jesus Christ and the true Gospel? Many people got a bad deal with religion, so the true Gospel should be such a great deal that they can’t refuse. We just have to present it as it is, and people should be flocking into churches—the true churches.

I have heard some outrageous things that the cults are able to do to the people. They have been doing it for decades and are still able to do it nowaday, even in the U.S. We the true servants of God need to be more bold and creative to match what the enemies are doing.

As the End draws near, the number of cults and occults will only increase. We need to quickly rise up to match the pressing need of our time.

Muslim

There are no reason why we can’t reach the Muslim very easily. Just go to colleges or airports and talk to the muslim, present them the full Gospel, and offer to pray for total healings for muslims who need healing or who have loved ones who need it, until miracles do happen. In the muslim countries there are heavy prosecutions against Christians, but in the West we still have time. Don’t wait until their number get out of control. We need full time missionaries who are able to seek them out and talk to them. The workers need your support. Let’s build the biblical Church NOW!

Children

It’s heartbreaking to know that children are being “educated” in public schools and are learning worldly knowledge each day while we adults have to work so hard to support our families. There are very little quality time to train our children in the ways of God. The enemies monopolized education. You can choose to give your children homeschooling if you can afford to, but it’s an uphill battle because making money is becoming harder as the enemies are destroying and monopolizing the economies through central banks and governments.

How to reach out to the children and teenagers are a big question we need to ask ourselves. They are impressionable and are subjected to deceptions and brainwashes day in and night out. How can we expect them to walk in the ways of God in light of the situations we allow them to be in?

What about other people’s children? One day I saw a gay couple, who were hanging out with their “children”. There were at least 5 children under their cares. There are no reason why we Christians can’t adopt more children and teach them godliness. We can’t allow the world to get these children so early.

I seldom write down unfinished lesson in this blog. I guess it is good to have some entries for my experiements and share my learning process with others. I cannot do it alone. I need your help. You are helping me if you read all the articles I link to in this page, and really think about if you should believe what I say and then take actions. You may comment on this page and let me know your thoughts. The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few (Luke 10:2), are you willing to heed the call and build the Lord’s church?

For a few months I have been suffering (off and on) from these things called ice-pick headaches. It basically feels like someone takes an ice pick and drives in my head. It is very painful but only lasts a few seconds at a time. I have also dealt with other head pain. I think this is due to my anxiety in the past because that is when it first showed up.

Well after my anxiety was gone, these headaches and head pains continued. It was difficult for me when it got painful. I read this book by Andrew Wommack called “God want you well.” The book basically said that it is always God’s will to heal (he also explains Paul’s thorn in the flesh). I was reading this book and rebuking the pain in my head and it seemed to help a little but the pains persisted later.

So I read another chapter from this book talking about how healing was not just an “add on” or extra benefit to salvation. It basically said that Jesus took our sickness in addition to our sin at the cross. For some reason when I read that it really hit me that I was healed and that I needed to realize that and accept it by faith. The next morning I felt the pains try to come back. I remembered that healing was not just an “add on” and remembered what I read from that chapter of the book. I simply believed that Jesus healed me just as He saved me from my sins and accepted it by faith. The pains left!!!!! Not just a little but gone!!! I didn’t say anything aloud, I just believed in my heart – that is just what happened.

I feel the pains TRY to come back sometimes, but I keep focusing on the truth that by His stripes we were healed (past tense) and remain healed. Just like I stand on the truth that I am saved by grace, I also stand on the truth that by His stripes we were healed. I believe that Jesus cared enough about our physical bodies to take our sicknesses on the cross. Jesus healed everyone that asked Him and had faith while He was on the Earth, and if Jesus was the perfect expression of the Father, then we know that it is His will to heal as well.

Hey Nick, thanks for the detailed testimony. I will look into this book and see if I can do a review on it.

Many Christians have experienced miracles, and they should publish their testimonies. The world needs to see more of this.

I also believe that it is always God’s will to heal.

Continue to work on expanding this experience and bring healing to those around you. Whether they believe or not isn’t as important as whether you believe you have the authority to bring them healing.

  3. Darryl says:

Keep the faith. Healing is not always instant, in fact, alot of it is gradual. God said healing always comes. It may not always be received. Don’t be moved by what you see, keep doing the will of God and you will see Miracles and get good testimonies.

  4. saikit says:

Hey Darryl, thanks for the encouragment! Do you have any healing testimony you can share with us here?

Interesting!! My Christian mentor gave me Curry Blake DVD’s 1-2yrs ago. My mentor also prays/prayed for the healing of people, he could probably recount some such testimonys.

I think to have the level of faith to do quick faith healings requires both a huge amount of faith in God, a close relationship with him, almost unquestionable obedience to God, and the willingness to do fasting and prayer whenever it’s required. I also think it requires being gifted with a high level of faith by God. I don’t think it necessarily requires “time” if a person has that level of faith, as Jesus did not require “time”.
